Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the Paperweight Systems website actually does with data. It covers this website only — software products we publish (like Paperweight) handle data on your own hardware and are described by their own documentation.

What we collect

• Review submissions. If you submit a review, we store what you enter: your name, display name, the product, your rating, the review text, and whether you gave permission to publish. Reviews are held for moderation and only published with your permission. Your name (as opposed to your display name) is never shown publicly.
• Admin session cookie. The private site-management area (/plus) sets an HTTP-only session cookie after an administrator signs in. It identifies the admin session and nothing else. Visitors who never sign in to /plus are not given this cookie.

What we don’t do

• No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts.
• No sale or sharing of personal information.
• No account system for visitors — you can use the whole public site without signing in to anything.

Station discovery

The Listen page fetches the public station directory from Paperweight Systems infrastructure (system.paperweighthq.com) directly from your browser, and plays a station through that station’s own public player. When you play a station, your browser connects to that creator’s station directly; what that station logs (such as listener counts) is under the creator’s control.

Downloads and external links

The Download button sends you to the Paperweight product site, where per-platform buttons link directly to GitHub releases. GitHub, Discord, and other external destinations we link to have their own privacy policies and see the traffic you send them.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may log requests (such as IP addresses) as part of operating the platform, as described in Vercel’s own privacy documentation.
